Craving designer style on a budget? This Fashion Friday post is your secret weapon to scoring luxury bags for less!
Forget the endless “want” list – right now, practicality reigns supreme. That’s precisely why I’ve embraced the world of pre-loved treasures. You might notice I use “pre-loved” instead of “used” or “secondhand.” It just feels a bit more charming, doesn’t it? While luxury handbags hold a special place in my heart, the price tags, well, let’s just say they don’t exactly fit the current economic climate.
One of the joys of this blog is sharing my passions with all of you! Today, I’m spilling the tea on a little secret: I’ve never paid full price for a luxury item. Enter the wonderful world of pre-loved treasures! To celebrate these finds, I’m counting down my top spots for snagging amazing pre-loved luxury items.
- The Real Real: A major player, The RealReal offers a vast selection of authenticated designer clothing, handbags, jewelry, and accessories. Their consignment model allows sellers to list items and receive a commission on the sale.
- Fashionphile: Specializing in luxury handbags, Fashionphile has a meticulous authentication process to ensure buyers receive genuine products. They offer a curated selection of pre-owned designer bags. If you’re lucky enough to live close, they also have two brick-and-mortar stores: one in Carlsbad, California and one in New York City and two pop-up stores in California (one in Carlsbad and the other in Irvine).
- Vestiaire Collective: An international platform, Vestiaire Collective features pre-owned luxury fashion from a community of sellers. Their team authenticates all items before they are shipped to buyers.
- Farfetch: Primarily a retailer for new, in-season designer clothing and accessories, Farfetch also offers a pre-owned section. They partner with various boutiques and brands for their pre-owned collection.
- Yoogi’s Closet: Based in the US, Yoogi’s Closet focuses on authenticated designer handbags, jewelry, and accessories. They source their inventory directly from sellers and offer competitive pricing.
